Geelong’s 2022 Construction Cup Success at 13th Beach Golf Course
What a day! On Thursday, March 24th 2022 we were thrilled to be joined by 82 members of the construction industry to network, raise funds and of course play a few rounds of golf!
The 2022 Construction Cup, proudly sponsored once again by Southern Star Group of Companies was a huge success, raising just over $30,000 for SIDS research, education and awareness. Southern Star Group of Companies have been long term supporters of River’s Gift and we are incredibly grateful for their on-going commitment.
The teams played for some fabulous prizes, kindly donated by Jetty Road Brewery, Golf Imports and Callaway Golf and took part in various competitions around the course.
A special thanks to Hole in One Sponsor – Totally Workwear, ShoutOut Hole Sponsor – Volare Tiles + Flooring and Longest Drive Sponsor – Barwon Timber.

Tom King (KRock Football) was our MC for the 2nd year and as lunch commenced, our teams were inspired by the courageous and crazy Jackie Cooper. The Olympic aerialist skier entertained with recounts of her incredible career, highs and lows and there was amazement all round as we watched clips of miraculous jumps.
Our Wine in the Wall was generously donated by our friends at Mt Duneed Estate and auction prizes were donated from Microflite, Kieser, Hamish MCLachlan (Channel 7), Sorento Golf Club Pro Mark Williamson and Bush Barn, Kawarren. Thank you to Gartland Auctioneers, Will Ainsworth and Michael Tricarico for doing what they do best!
Once again signage was donated by the incredible team at MCG signs and all artwork designed by Frank Lane Design & Branding.
This event doesn’t come together without a huge amount of support and we are extremely grateful to all businesses who attend, donate prizes and sponsor.
